At Bridal Barn, we've hosted couples who've transformed our Shropshire venue into everything from laid-back boho celebrations to full-on festival themed weddings with multiple food trucks, live bands, and dancing under the stars. The space lends itself to it. The approach we take makes it possible.
What Makes a Festival Wedding Work Here
Some venues talk about festival weddings but then tie you up in restrictions. Approved caterer lists. No outside drinks. Strict noise curfews. Suddenly your relaxed celebration feels anything but.
We do things differently. Bridal Barn is a genuine dry hire venue, which means you have complete freedom over catering, drinks, and styling. Want three street food vans in the courtyard? Go for it. Fancy a cocktail bar, a craft beer station, and late-night toasties? Your call. Dream of everyone dancing barefoot on the grass while a band plays into the evening? We can work with that.
This flexibility is what transforms a pretty venue into an actual festival wedding venue.
The Tipi
Our courtyard tipi is often the heart of boho and festival style weddings here. It seats up to 80 guests for ceremonies and creates that relaxed, outdoor-but-sheltered vibe that works whatever the British weather decides to do.
Decorate it however you like. Rugs and cushions for a bohemian lounge feel. Draped fabrics and hanging greenery. Fairy lights (we include festoon lighting throughout) and candles. The canvas is yours to style.
Many couples use the tipi for their ceremony, then open up the space for mingling, drinks, and that festival atmosphere where people drift between areas rather than sitting in assigned seats all evening.
The Woodland Ceremony Point
For the ceremony itself, our woodland setting offers something genuinely special. Elevated among the trees with panoramic countryside views, it feels wild and romantic in equal measure.
There's something about saying your vows surrounded by nature that suits the bohemian wedding aesthetic perfectly. No grand architecture or formal altar. Just ancient trees, open sky, and the people you love most gathered in a circle around you.
If the weather turns (and this is England, so we plan for it), ceremonies can move to the tipi or barn. But on a clear day, the woodland is hard to beat.
The Courtyard
This is where festival weddings really come alive. Our courtyard space gives you room for food trucks, outdoor bars, seating areas, lawn games, and all those relaxed touches that make guests feel like they're at a celebration rather than an event.
Picture it: a pizza van serving fresh from the oven, a gin bar set up under festoon lights, hay bales and blankets scattered around, acoustic music drifting across the space as the sun goes down. It's the wedding equivalent of your favourite festival's food court, except everyone's there for you.
The courtyard connects naturally to the barn and tipi, creating a flow where guests wander between spaces, drinks in hand, rather than sitting in rows waiting for the next scheduled moment.
Freedom Over Food and Drink
Festival style weddings are often about the food as much as anything else. Grazing tables piled high. Street food from your favourite vendors. That incredible Thai place you discovered at a market last summer. A crepe stand at midnight.
Because we're a dry hire venue, none of this requires special permission or negotiation. You choose your caterers. You design your menu. You decide whether that means one sit-down meal or five different food stations people can graze from all evening.
The same goes for drinks. Source your own wine, set up a prosecco van, create a craft beer bar featuring local breweries. Without corkage charges eating into your budget, you can offer guests variety without breaking the bank.
Bohemian Wedding Styling
The boho wedding venue aesthetic is about texture, nature, and that effortlessly beautiful look that actually takes quite a lot of thought to achieve. Bridal Barn gives you a strong foundation to build on.
The barn itself offers exposed beams, natural wood, and rustic character that needs minimal decoration. Add trailing eucalyptus, pampas grass, and candlelight and the space transforms. The tipi and courtyard work brilliantly with relaxed styling: rugs, cushions, mismatched furniture, abundant greenery.
We include fairy lights and festoon lighting throughout the venue, which creates that magical evening atmosphere festival weddings rely on. Beyond that, the styling is yours to direct. Many couples hire props from local suppliers, and we're happy to recommend people who understand the space.
Because you have access from noon the day before your wedding, there's proper time to create the look you're after. No rushing. No compromising because you've only got an hour before guests arrive.
Three Days for Your Celebration
Festival weddings often benefit from breathing room. Time to set up properly. Time to enjoy the day without watching the clock. Maybe even time for a relaxed gathering with close friends the evening before.
Our packages include three day exclusive hire as standard. The venue is entirely yours throughout, which means you can shape the whole weekend around your celebration rather than squeezing a festival style wedding into a five-hour window.

Boho Wedding Venue Location
Bridal Barn sits on 100 acres of Shropshire countryside near Claverley, about ten minutes from Bridgnorth. We're rural enough to feel like a proper escape (no noise complaints from neighbours) but accessible enough for guests travelling from across the Midlands and beyond.
Birmingham: 45 minutes Wolverhampton: 30 minutes Telford: 35 minutes Shrewsbury: 40 minutes
The surrounding area offers accommodation in Bridgnorth for guests wanting to stay nearby, plus plenty of countryside to explore for those making a weekend of it.
